The same applies when driving for long periods of time. If you often drive for long periods of time, it’s as equally important to set up your car seat correctly. Here are a few pointers to help you naturally align your body to overcome them long trips.

1). Make sure your headrest is aligned with the top of your head. You don’t want to be in an uncomfortable position which strains your neck essentially affecting your overall posture & spinal area.

2). Your lower back, shoulders and bottom should be positioned as close to the back rest as possible. Yes, having a back rest will most definitely alleviate any pains or strains you may be experiencing. Ensure your body is positioned correctly alongside the back rest for maximum comfort.

3). Take regular breaks. This is crucial and many underestimate the benefits of taking a quick 5-10 minute break. Our backs aren’t designed to sit for long periods, so when taking a break and walking for that short duration, we are providing our backs with movement and our muscles will benefit from that. Also, a little fresh air and movement will help us feel awake and fresh to go again.
